Samantha

Samantha is a Lived Experience Researcher at University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre. Previously, she has worked as an Equity Ambassador for Macquarie University, teaching high school students from low socio-economic backgrounds. Currently, she is a Medical Science student at Macquarie University and works primarily in mental health. She is part of the headspace Youth Advisory Committee at Western Sydney, works as a Youth Peer Support Coach for headspace Early Psychosis and helps with the co-design for an early psychosis resource at University of Sydney’s MY PREP-ED Project. Through these roles, she uses her lived experience of mental health to drive and amplify positive change. She is dedicated in advocating for mental health, suicide prevention, early psychosis intervention, as well as the diversity and inclusion of CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) and LGBTQIA+ communities.
