Tara Tjahjadi
Tara is a Lived Experience Researcher at the University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre. She is passionate about advocating for youth-orientated mental health care and the destigmatisation of mental health challenges, particularly in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities. Previously, Tara has worked as a mental health Peer Support Worker for headspace Penrith and is currently an active member of the headspace Western Sydney Youth Advisory Committee. She is also an active member of the Yourtown Youth Network, Penrith City Council Youth Leadership Team and Batyr Mental Health Ambassador team. Currently, Tara is studying a Bachelor of Psychology Honours whilst working as a MySydney Scholars Leader at the University of Sydney, where she uses her lived-experiences to help students to fully engage with university life.
